Directed by Ron Howard with a screenplay co-written by Lucasfilm veteran Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jonathan Kasdan, Solo departs from the normal fare of the theatrical Star Wars saga, taking audiences to remote planets occupied by deviants and scoundrels.

A diverse leading cast enriches new and familiar characters alike including Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Emilia Clarke (Qi’ra), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), Woody Harrelson (Tobias Beckett), Thandie Newton (Val), and Paul Bettany (Dryden Vos).

The Story

The young Han Solo aspires to be a pilot but finds little promise from the Empire. After befriending the Wookiee known as Chewbacca, the pair set out to join a band of smugglers. On their subsequent adventures they meet new enemies, old friends, and potential allies in a growing insurgency.
