LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special

Released:

JINGLE BELLS…AND LEGO BRICKS!

Building (no pun intended) on years of successful collaboration with the LEGO Group, The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special was one of the first original stories developed by Lucasfilm for Disney+. A saga-spanning tale filled with irreverent humor, clever Easter Eggs, and important lessons, it was released on November 17, 2020, and has become a holiday favorite for Star Wars fans.

“The hope was that it would become a classic perennial like Rudolph or Frosty or Charlie Brown. It’s always great to see it among the holiday collection on Disney+.” Josh Rimes, executive producer, told StarWars.com. “We still hear from families and friends that have made it part of their annual holiday rotation.

The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special was directed by Ken Cunningham, written by David Shayne, and executive produced by Jason Cosler, James Waugh, Jacqui Lopez, Josh Rimes, Keith Malone, and Jill Wilfert, and produced by Daniel Cavey and Dan Langlois.

THE STORY

In The LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special, set after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rey struggles in her new role as Jedi teacher to Finn. The discovery of an ancient “key” sends her traveling through time and space, where she encounters legends of the past who will help her grow into becoming a great master…and a great friend. But when dark side villains step in, Rey must set things right. Will she make it home in time for the great Life Day feast?
