The long-awaited return of cinema’s most beloved adventurer
Many of the franchise’s original creators returned for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, including producers George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy, director Steven Spielberg, and the legendary Harrison Ford in the starring role.
With the passage of time came a new era for the fabled archaeologist as the setting moved to America of the late 1950s and an expedition into the jungles of South America. With the return of Ford came also the beloved actress Karen Allen in her role as Indy’s strong-willed leading lady, Marion Ravenwood.
An adventure that combined the finest elements in the craft of filmmaking, Crystal Skull was created like a modern classic, with the best in digital imagery from Industrial Light & Magic and the tested practical methods used on the original films. Crystal Skull proved another endearing adventure full of as much grit, whimsy, and spectacle as Indy himself.
