Ewoks: The Battle for Endor

Released:

A SEQUEL ADVENTURE WITH YOUNG FRIENDS WICKET AND CINDEL

With the success of Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure, Lucasfilm produced a sequel, Ewoks: The Battle for Endor, which premiered on ABC in November of 1985. As he had before, George Lucas devised the story, while brothers Ken and Jim Wheat both directed the film and wrote the final screenplay. Many of the key production staff returned, including producer Thomas G. Smith, production designer Joe Johnston, and art director Harley Jessup.

The Battle for Endor was another homegrown Lucasfilm production, shot entirely on location in Northern California, including at Skywalker Ranch. Industrial Light & Magic contributed many elaborate visual effects to the television movie, including a number of stop-motion animated creatures.

THE STORY

The exciting adventures of the Ewoks continue as the heroic Wicket (Warwick Davis) and his young friend Cindel (Aubree Miller) escape the evil Marauders with the help of their new allies, the gruff hermit Noa (Wilford Brimley) and his swift-footed sidekick, Teek.
