Conjure Dove’s Buttered Muffins with This Magical Willow Recipe

In the Willow series, kitchen-maid Dove is known for her buttered muffins. But you don’t need to travel all the way to Tir Asleen to try them! With Lucasfilm.com’s easy recipe, you’ll whip up this treat in no time, no magical powers required.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/3 cup granulated sugar
• ⅓ cup brown sugar
• 1 tablespoon baking powder
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
• ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 6 tablespoons butter, melted
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• ½ cup chopped pecans

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

• ½ cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 5 tablespoons butter, melted

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prep a mini muffin pan with liners.

Step 2: In a bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Step 3: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and stir in the buttermilk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla, until just combined. Fold in the pecans. Spoon into the prepped liners.

Step 4: Bake for 16 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack.

Step 5: In a small bowl stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Dip each muffin top into the melted butter, then the cinnamon sugar mixture, to serve.
