Robbie Rodriguez
Robbie Rodriguez (he/him) is an experienced diversity and inclusion practitioner. Known for developing and implementing strategic programs that enhance diversity and inclusion efforts across organizations, Robbie is passionate about contributing to workplace cultures so that everyone feels safe to show up authentically, is treated equitably, and has their diverse voices valued, heard, and celebrated.
At Lucasfilm and Industrial Light & Magic, he is responsible for leading the global Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategy across all global studios. He works closely with business leaders across the company to understand the unique needs of each studio. He designs initiatives that contribute to an inclusive culture that attracts and retains diverse talent from all walks of life. As the primary D&I strategic consultant to business leaders, Robbie provides diversity and inclusion subject matter expertise, diagnoses inclusion barriers, and works closely with leadership to develop efforts that allow all talent to succeed and feel a sense of belonging.
Robbie has a proven track record for leading diversity and inclusion programming and strategy implementation in the entertainment and technology industries. His expertise in employee engagement, talent advancement, and retention has resulted in more equitable systems and inclusive practices for global workforces. Prior to Lucasfilm, Robbie developed and led diversity and inclusion initiatives at Activision and Warner Bros. Discovery.
A social justice advocate, Robbie also led diversity and inclusion programs through Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization.
Robbie is a native Californian who has lived in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Fresno. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from San Francisco State University and is a certified Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Specialist through the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR).
