We’re delighted that you’re a fan of our series, films, games, and books! If you’re looking to start a fansite, below are some guidelines that we require you to follow.
To be considered to receive Lucasfilm press releases, access to advanced screeners, press days, and invitations to events such as launch events, junkets, and similar opportunities, we ask that your fan site and all contributors adhere to the below:
- Your fansite must be clearly represented as a fansite and state that is not affiliated with Disney or Lucasfilm. For example, “This site is not affiliated in any way with Lucasfilm Ltd. LLC, The Walt Disney Company, or any of their affiliates or subsidiaries.”
- Your fansite and all contributors should not source or share/repost leaked information from any Lucasfilm project. As a reminder, all official, public information about a project will be shared on StarWars.com or Lucasfilm.com.
- If you receive advance copies or advance screeners, your fansite and all contributors must adhere to the social media and review embargos for all projects.
- We strive to have a positive and safe community for our fans, and if you want to be part of that community, you must be respectful of your fellow Star Wars fans and the general public when engaging with others online, at events, and on social media.
- Please note: Adherence to these guidelines is not a guarantee of press opportunities or event access. Opportunities will be considered on a title by title basis. We are fortunate to have many fansites who wish to cover Lucasfilm content, and we want to make sure a variety of fansites will have opportunities to participate!
If we are not already in contact with you and you’d like to introduce yourself and your fansite, please reach out to PressRequests@Lucasfilm.com with your name, social media links, the name of your website, and up to three links to your recent coverage.
